A middleware solution that passes and synchronizes email messages from MS Exchange servers to its own document management system. The middleware acts as a gateway that programmatically checks-in both incoming and outgoing emails into the document management system.

The solution passes email from MS-Exchange server to a specified location within the document management system in a MIME encrypted file format (eml). Email header body and attachments are integrated from the eml files and used to identify the email from check-in. This data is also used as referential META data held in the document management system. The solution is also capable of detecting and processing duplicate email entries. It is also capable of extracting and processing email attachments.
